15 July, 2020

V1 are launching an exclusive interview series where we get to meet industry leaders and creative visionaries behind some of the world’s leading architectural and interior design firms. In the unique series named “Behind the scenes with…” we get upfront and personal – asking creatively inspired questions, as well as digging a bit deeper and revealing the personalities behind the brand names.

“Over the years we’ve worked on some of the world’s most notable luxury and prime developments, and as a result we’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most influential architects and interior designers globally. We really wanted to celebrate the incredible designers that we have the privilege to work and collaborate with. The team at V1 are all from design backgrounds and as a result we are passionate about bringing designer’s visions to life and really adding value to the design process. Working and collaborating with designers and architects is what we love doing!” Vince Flynn, Managing Director

Our first interview is with Ed Ng from AB Concept – having recently worked with the team on the W Algarve Residences. AB Concept has forged a reputation as one of the world’s leading designers specialising in luxury hotels and residences. Based in Hong Kong, they work across an expansive portfolio of some of the world’s most prestigious brands, among them Four Seasons, Rosewood, Shangri-La and Waldorf Astoria. The centre-pin of this success is without a doubt co-founders Ed Ng and Terence Ngan – the combined talent and vision of whom has made them something of a dream team within the industry. Having also been interviewed recently for Tatler Singapore, Ed talks to us about his what his dream project would be, what luxury means to him and what advice he would give to his younger self.
